Spier is located in the Stellenbosch Winelands next to the Eerste River, with sweeping views of the Helderberg mountain range.

The hotel's rooms are situated in village-style buildings grouped around six courtyards, each with its own swimming pool. Standard rooms are spacious with large comfortable beds. Every room includes artworks from the Spier Collection, giving each a touch of individuality. The en suite bathrooms have a large bath and a separate shower and rooms have a shaded outdoor patio where guests can relax and unwind. The ten Superior rooms have views of the Eerste River and include additional facilities such as a fully stocked mini bar, free wi-fi, daily delivery of newspapers, special turndown and iPod docking facilities. In addition to the rooms, there are also four large suites, 110m2, with all the features of both the standard and superior rooms.

Spier is a working wine estate that produces top-quality wines that have won multiple accolades locally and internationally. Formal and educational tastings are offered at the Wine Shop, which is housed in an original Cape Dutch gabled barn dating back to 1750. Guests can also purchase wines here, which can be packaged for safe travel locally or abroad.
