Destination: South Africa

Day 1 - 3: Durban & Surrounds

Meal Basis: Bed & Breakfast

The KwaZulu Natal North Coast offers spectacular beaches all along its coastline and is divided into two distinct sections. Just north of Durban are the well developed beach resorts and golf courses, while the far north provides miles and miles of unspoilt beaches, wetlands and lake systems. So whether you’re after a 5-star hotel overlooking a beach, or camping in the dunes and diving with dolphins, the KwaZulu Natal coastline has it all and more.

Being an eco-conscious golf course and estate, Zimbali’s tee boxes are often situated in slightly tricky positions to avoid environmental disturbances. The first eleven holes take you over rolling hills, which present ideal vantage points from which to enjoy the magnificent views. Thereafter, holes twelve to eighteen explore the Zimbali indigenous forest.

Day 4 - 6: Durban & Surrounds

Meal Basis: Full Board

KZN is steeped in history and literally littered with battlefields; from the struggles of the Zulu Civil Wars, to their clashes with the Boers and the British and the two wars where South Africa’s white tribes fought against one another. The most well known and well visited sites are those where the legendary Battles of Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift took place on the same day, lodging the Zulus firmly at the top of great warrior nations. Not far from these battlefields are the famous Anglo-Boer War fields of Spioenkop, Colenso and the Siege of Ladysmith, which drew characters like Winston Churchill, Louis Botha and Mohandas Gandhi onto the same stage.
