Destination: Tanzania

Day 2 - 4: Ngorongoro Crater

Accommodation: Lemala Ngorongoro Camp

Meal Basis: Full Board plus Activities

The Ngorongoro Crater is game viewing gone crazy and it is not surprising that with is one of Tanzania’s major tourist drawcards. Within the crater rim a daily wildlife drama is played out as large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze nearby lions, leopards, elephants and black rhinos. Outside of the crater a similar drama continues in a more spread out manner with Masai herdsmen thrown into the mix.

Lemala Ngorongoro is an intimate seasonal camp set in a delightful ancient acacia forest on the rim of the crater next to the quiet Lemala access route. The camp offers accommodation under canvas in only 8 luxury tents and 1 family tent (accommodating 4 to 5 guests) to ensure seclusion in a pristine forest environment.

Day 5 - 8: Serengeti National Park

Accommodation: Lemala Ewanjan Tented Camp

Meal Basis: Full Board plus Activities

The Serengeti together with Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park form Africa’s most famous wildlife park. The image of acacia trees on an endless grass plain epitomises Africa for many, and then add a Masai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further.

The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti and the Masai Mara is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. But that is not where the game viewing ends; large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in grasslands, gazelles and eland to mention but a few. Aside from traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Serengeti plains has become almost essential and you can even do a horseback safari.

Lemala Ewanjan is a deluxe camp with 12 beautiful tented suites set within the game-rich Seronera Valley in a secluded part of Central Serengeti. The camp offers breathtaking views of the Serengeti plains and its prolific wildlife and sunsets. The Seronera valley is renowned for its year round game viewing due to its abundance of water, as well as its large population of resident cats.
We have sited the camp right at the end of a blind valley, so there is no reason for vehicles to interrupt your view during the day, and at night you enjoy uninterrupted views across the plains with no electric lights in sight.
