Port Elizabeth & Grahamstown

DESCRIPTION

Port Elizabeth is South Africa's second oldest city and also the commercial capital of the Eastern Cape. The region has a year round temperate climate, great beaches (including the Blue Flag beaches, St Georges and Humewood) and a laid back pace of life. This is also the gateway to the Garden Route and the malaria free Big 5 reserves of the Eastern Cape.

Grahamstown is the main town of a little known area of South Africa called Frontier Country. A hauntingly beautiful region, Frontier Country is a vibrant mix of all the best that Africa has to offer. One of the premier tourist routes in the Eastern Cape, it has a turbulent past, with more forts than the rest of the country combined. Aside from this it is also the gateway to the Wild Coast and some of the finest and least visited beaches and coastline in the country.
