City

DESCRIPTION

The city of Dubai is an area of true contrasts - a harmonious blend of old and new.

Visitors can take a walk through the winding lanes of the historic Bastakiya area, visit some of Dubai's new landmarks on the Beach Road, and witness the vibrant pulse of the city whilst strolling along the Dubai Creek. A visit to the Al Fahidi Fort that houses the authentic Dubai Museum is also worthwhile, or cross the creek in an Abra (water taxi).

The city is also home to Dubai's traditional Spice and Gold Souks which are exciting and glittering, especially at night. And of course there are the many shopping malls located here, offering everything from designer goods to electronics – tax free.
